FAQs

  • Where are classes located? St Johns Church hall in Marchwood, SO40 4XF, walk through the graveyard to the wood-clad building.

  • Is there parking/toilets/baby changing? There is free parking along the road opposite the church or in the precinct behind the Roebuck pub. Toilets and baby changing are both available at the hall.

  • Can I bring my baby to post natal classes? Absolutely! It can be such a challenge to prioritise yourself as a new mum but these classes are designed to fit around you and your baby. We have the option of including baby in some of the movements if you wish or you can lay them on blanket or carrycot next to you. The focus will be on you rather than your baby but of course you can take a break from exercising to soothe or feed them as often as needed. Once babies become mobile you may wish to opt for childcare - your baby remains your responsibility within the class.

  • What do I need to bring? Please bring your own exercise mat (I have a couple spares if needed), a bottle of water and wear clothing you feel comfortable exercising in. For post natal classes it can help to bring a blanket to lay your little one on and a couple small toys to keep them entertained.

  • When can I start? For ante-natal classes it is recommended to wait for your 12 week scan before starting, if there are any complications with your pregnancy feel free to contact me before booking to check suitability. For post-natal classes we advise to wait for your 6 week check by your GP to clear you for exercise. If you have had a c-section you may want to wait a couple more weeks or take the easier options in class to begin with.

  • How long can I keep coming? Ante-natal classes are suitable for all tri-mesters right up to your due date (or beyond!) Post natal classes are run as a 6 week Foundation Course for those newly post birth, followed by Post Natal Flow classes which can be booked weekly. You can bring your baby to all classes and can continue as long as you wish however once babies become mobile you may prefer to opt for childcare!

  • Do I need to have done pilates before? No! I cover the basics in all classes and will guide you with technique throughout. There is no need to have completed Ante-Natal classes before attending Post Natal ones, but it is recommended you start with the Post Natal Foundation Course rather than the Post Natal Flow classes if you are <12 weeks post birth or completely new to pilates.

  • What is the cancellation policy? Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for cancellations for course bookings with less than 48hrs notice. For classes you can cancel or reschedule to different class if there is space with 24 hours notice.
